These batteries have high energy consumption at low weight, comparable to conventional li-ion cells, with serious current efficiency: 3C for long and 6C for short!
According to the manufacturers, they are able to charge in cold weather to minus 20 degrees Celsius and discharge at temperatures up to minus 40. At the same time, the manufacturers claim that fire safety has improved, but we have not yet verified this. The resource of such cells is from 2500 to 3000 cycles until a capacity loss of 20%. And another huge advantage, these batteries allow you to charge yourself with higher currents than to discharge! They were created for use in shuttle buses and electric taxis, millions of which are filled with cities in China. According to the supplier, buses with this type of battery charge in 20-30 minutes to 90% of the level! But we have not yet ventured to verify these statements. The battery is assembled from 13 cells with a capacity of 17Ah. LG Installed BMS 60A board. When assembling, I used a cable in 14AWG high-temperature silicone insulation. Withstands high currents, pre-prepared (55A) short-hour (120A). Approximate conductor diameter 1.75 mm. Sectional area 2.4 mm2. The specific resistance is 0.008286 Ohm / m. Super-thin silver-plated copper core and high-temperature silicone insulation provide absolute protection against kinks in moving areas and melting of insulation at temperatures up to 200 ºС. The output of the battery is a universal connector XT60 - 60A (90A)
